THE WAY WE WERE
About Us
The Watsons Bay & Vaucluse Social History Group is a non-profit, volunteer
organisation conceived in 2012 by a small group of local residents who had a
shared interest in the social history of the Watsons Bay and Vaucluse area. They
formed a Committee and became involved with Woollahra Council’s Community
Development Department’s social history project, “People and Places That
Shaped Our Lives”
Our Book - THE WAY WE WERE
THE WAY WE WERE contains
recollections and stories of the Watsons
Bay and Vaucluse areas, from long-term
residents, that have never before been
recorded. Accompanied by photographs,
artwork and background history, it’s a
publication to be enjoyed by locals, the
wider community, and anyone with a
keen interest in historic Sydney.
